Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB is known for being one of the toughest trail races in the world. Not only is it a test of endurance, but athletes must navigate over technical terrain and massive elevation gains.
The challenge attracts elite trail runners from around the world. This year's Snowdonia had over 2,800 participants and over 60 nationalities—including athletes from the Elite Trail Team (ETT).
Nduranz is proud to have fueled these athletes to the podium!
Keith Wigley Claims 3rd in the Brutal 100k
Keith Wigley tackled the grueling 100k race. He consistently worked his way up through the field—moving into 3rd place on the final climb and storming into Llanberis with a finish time of 12:18:50.
To keep him going over the highly-technical terrain, Keith averaged these nutritional stats over the 12+ hours:
- 100 g of carbohydrates per hour
-
900 ml fluids per hour
- 700 to 900 mg of sodium per hour
The Jakeman sisters provided support and kept him stocked with Nrgy Drink, Gels, and Bars throughout the race. He recovered post-race with a Chocolate Regen shake, and thanks to Nduranz Electrolyte Mix, finished with zero salt cravings.
Kris Jones Takes the Win in the 50k
Also from ETT, Kris Jones held his own against world-class competition to secure first place in the 50k. It wasn't an easy win. He battled with Sylvain Cachard of team HOKA through the middle aid stations. Ultimately, Kris surged ahead to cross the finish line with a strong 16-minute lead. That makes it his second UTS win after taking the top spot in the 25k back in 2023.
Nico Dalcolmo Takes 5th in His First Running Race
Nico Dalcolmo spent his winter on skis, but made a strong debut on the 50k. His consistency allowed him to run in the top 10 all day and finish 5th overall in a field.
